Tixel® Tinley Park
Fine lines, uneven texture, and dull skin don't always call for aggressive lasers or long recovery times. Tixel offers a unique thermal skin rejuvenation treatment that resurfaces and refreshes the skin with minimal discomfort and downtime—even in delicate areas like around the eyes.
At Trouvaille Med Spa, we don't start with treatments — we start with you. One genuine conversation shapes a plan designed to leave you looking rested, confident, and completely yourself.

What Is Tixel?
Tixel is a thermal-mechanical skin resurfacing treatment that uses pure, precisely controlled heat—delivered through a specialized titanium tip—to rejuvenate the skin. Unlike lasers, Tixel transfers heat directly to the skin's surface, creating micro-channels that stimulate collagen production and skin renewal without light energy or needles.
Treatment is commonly used for concerns such as fine lines, skin texture, and sun damage, and because of its precision and safety profile, it's especially well suited for delicate areas like the eyelids and around the eyes.
At Trouvaille Med Spa, we customize the depth and intensity of each Tixel treatment to your skin and goals. During your consultation, we'll recommend the treatment plan best suited to your desired outcome.
CONCERNS ADDRESSED
- Fine Lines & Wrinkles: Soften lines around the eyes, mouth, and across the face through collagen stimulation.
- Eyelid & Under-Eye Skin: Tighten and smooth delicate skin around the eyes, an area many devices can't safely treat.
- Uneven Skin Texture: Resurface rough or uneven texture for smoother, more refined skin.
- Sun Damage & Pigmentation: Improve the appearance of discoloration and sun-damaged skin.
- Enlarged Pores: Refine the appearance of pores as skin texture improves.
- Acne Scarring: Soften the appearance of textural scarring over a series of treatments.
How Does Tixel Work?
Over time, collagen production slows and skin cell turnover becomes less efficient, leading to fine lines, rough texture, and a duller overall appearance.
Tixel works by briefly touching a grid of tiny heated titanium pyramids to the skin's surface, creating controlled micro-channels that trigger the skin's natural healing and collagen production response. Results develop gradually over the following weeks as skin renews itself, with continued improvement across a series of treatments.
Treatments are performed in the office and usually take 30 minutes or less, with most patients experiencing only mild redness for a day or two afterward—making it easy to fit into even the busiest schedule.
IS IT RIGHT FOR YOU?
Tixel may be a good option if you're looking to improve skin texture and quality without the downtime of aggressive resurfacing. You may be a candidate if you:
- Fine lines or crepey skin are becoming more noticeable: Stimulate collagen to smooth and firm the skin, including around the eyes.
- Skin texture or tone has lost its glow: Resurface and renew the skin for a brighter, smoother appearance.
- You want results without extended downtime: Achieve meaningful improvement with only brief redness afterward.
- A non-surgical solution fits your lifestyle: Refresh your skin with a comfortable, quick in-office treatment.
- Personalized recommendations matter to you: Receive a treatment plan tailored to your skin type, concerns, and desired outcome.

FAQs For Tixel Treatment in Tinley Park
Whether you're considering Tixel for the first time or simply exploring your options, we're here to help you feel informed and confident. Here are answers to some of the questions we hear most often.

Tixel is safe and effective for a wide range of skin types and is particularly well suited for delicate areas like the eyelids. During your consultation, we'll assess your skin and goals to determine whether Tixel or another treatment is the best fit.
Cost varies depending on the areas treated and the number of sessions in your plan. We'll provide a detailed quote during your consultation so you know exactly what to expect.
Most patients find Tixel very tolerable—each pulse feels like a brief sensation of warmth. Numbing cream can be applied beforehand for added comfort, and treatments are typically quicker and more comfortable than traditional laser resurfacing.
Immediately after treatment, your skin may appear red and feel warm, similar to a light sunburn—this typically lasts 2 to 3 hours. Mild redness and swelling may continue for the first 1 to 2 days, and in individuals with sensitive skin, redness can persist for several weeks. Mild pinpoint crusting is common, usually appearing within a few days and lasting anywhere from several days to a few weeks. We generally advise allowing for at least one week of potential downtime, and makeup can be applied to the treated area after 48 hours.
Tixel results are gradual, driven by your skin's natural collagen and elastin production. After 1 to 2 months, you'll notice smoother, healthier, and more radiant skin—and these results are long-lasting.
Most patients benefit from a series of 3 to 4 sessions spaced about 4 weeks apart, with results continuing to improve as collagen rebuilds over the following months. Maintenance sessions can help sustain results over time.
