What is Sculptra?
Sculptra is an FDA-approved injectable biostimulator made of poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA), a biocompatible material that has been safely used in medicine for decades. Once injected, the PLLA microparticles act as a catalyst, prompting your skin to produce fresh collagen in the treated areas.
Unlike hyaluronic acid fillers, which deliver immediate but temporary volume, Sculptra's results emerge gradually over a series of weeks and months as your new collagen develops — and because that collagen is your own, results can last two years or more.
