Xeomin is an injection for intermuscular use similar to temporarily improve the appearance of moderate to severe frown lines between the eyebrows (glabellar lines) in adults. Xeomin contains botulinum toxin type A, a protein purified from the bacterium Clostridium botulinum. When squinting or frowning, the muscles between your brows contract, causing the skin to furrow and fold. As you age, your skin loses its elasticity, and repeated contractions of your forehead muscles can create persistent frown lines. Trouvaille Med Spa uses Xeomin to prevent muscle fibers in your forehead from contracting. Botulinum toxin type A is the active ingredient in Xeomin, and it acts on nerve endings in muscles to counteract this contracting. The reduction of muscle contractions in your forehead allows Xeomin to reduce lines on your forehead between your brows temporarily.
What to Expect
During your appointment at Trouvaille Med Spa, one of our highly skilled Nurse Injectors will assess your areas of concern. Then you will be injected with Xeomin into those areas. The procedure itself lasts about 10-15 minutes and you’ll be on our way. Results are visible anywhere from 7-14 days with results lasting up to 3 months.
